Revolution StageWorks' Inaugural Production
Written & Directed by Paul St. Cyr
Inspired by the Legend of Colossus of Barletta
In a world where statues fall as often as they rise, The Statue is a play that explores what happens when one shows up... uninvited. No plaque, no artist, and no meaning. Just stone— and the chaos it unleashes in a town that can't agree on what it stands for— forcing its residents to confront questions of art, commerce, faith, and identity.
As cultural symbols and public space remain battlegrounds, this play is a satire and a searing reflection of the moment we're leaving through.
"It's a simple, elegant, convenient answer to everything."
